Chad and Torie spent most of their engagment thousands of miles apart while Chad served in the miliraty. They initially planned their wedding for May 23rd, but it seems 2020 had other plans! They patiently waited, but decided to postpone for the health & safety of their guests. We ended up celebrating their big day on July 3rd & we got to go out with a bang!
We started the day with details. I loooove how they stamped “COVID” on their invite. 🤣
The greenery & baby breath hoop is actually what the bridesmaids used in lieu of a bouquet & I am *here* for it! Torie’s mom helped her get into her dress (which, can we please talk about those floral details?!).
We did some super fun first looks. First with her dad – who put a penny in her shoe for good luck, then with her bridal party, and last but not least with her entire family! How sweet are everyone’s reactions?!
Chad & Torie opted for a first look (my faaavorite!). We found a gorgeous spot by the willows for them to have a moment alone and spend some time together.
I brought Courtney Carney Photography along to second shoot & she did amazing as always capturing Torie’s sweet reaction! Their ceremony was outside on a beautiful stage.
Chad & Torie’s wedding party was SO MUCH FUN! And seriously, floral hoops are the bomb!
It was a hot day but everyone was a champ! JLH Wedding Barn has such a beautiful property and the inside of their barn is stunning! The reception set up was classic and I love how much ambiance the twinkle lights added.
You’ve probably heard me say this a million times, but I adore it when clients add personal touches to their wedding day. It makes everything more meaningful and truly is a reflection of their relationship. Chad & Torie added the CUTEST cake topper, “you are my lobster” 🦞 after the show Friends! They also used a sketch of the Indianapolis skyline for their guestbook.
Around sunset, we were able to sneak away for some more portraits and golden hour did not disappoint. 😍
At the end of the night, JLH set off some fireworks as the guests stood out on the deck to watch!
I have known Chad & Torie for about 3 years now so it was a surreal day watching them finally tie the knot. I am so thankful they allowed me to capture their big day and am excited about their journey as husband & wife!
